How TimeIPS Works

TimeIPS is a complete network-based time and attendance tracking system that's easy to install and use.

1. Employees clock in or out using one of our supported clocking methods.

Network Time Clocks provide walk-up clocking for employees and require an Employee Identification Device.

Telephone Clocking provides a voice-driven menu that allows employees to call in to clock in, clock out, check status, change jobs and more.

Desktop Clocking allows employees to clock in/out from a Windows PC or laptop using a desktop application.

Web Clocking enables employees to clock from any web-browser based device including desktop computers, laptops, web-enabled mobile phones/PDA's, and kiosks.

2. Punches are passed over your network to a TimeIPS Server were the data is stored and processed.

One of the following server options are required. With the ready-to-run server or ASP service, TimeIPS manages the IT aspects of the server and there's no software to install or configure.

ready-to-run that plugs into your local network.
Virtual Machine
software-only VM image that you run on your hardware.
ASP service
uses a dedicated server located in the TimeIPS datacenter.

3. Managers and administrators access TimeIPS on their computers using a web browser.

If given access, employees can also use a web browser to view their hours, schedules, request benefit use and more.

4. Export Payroll.

Run your own payroll or integrate with a wide range of popular payroll services.
